In Power of Prayer, Russell portrays one of The Faithful. “It was an interesting and intriguing movie. I so enjoyed being one of the Faithful since the word ‘faith’ has a special meaning to me. I always had faith my whole life so that in itself intrigued me,” she said.
She continued, “I felt that everyone involved in Power of Prayer worked well together and made the movie stand out in so many great ways. The way it was like a family and Donna McKenna hand-picked the cast of course with Drew. They both have a great eye for those that they want in the cast as well as the crew.”
On working with screenwriter Drew Henriksen, Russell said, “Drew is very professional and knows what he wants, since he is a teacher as well as a martial arts teacher. He has that strong way of his professional way he can put the people together and he did a fabulous job. I was very impressed by the finished product.”
Russell added, “I loved that it had a little bit of everything: love, insight, intrigue, danger as well as a great story-line. The movie itself is fast action and keeps you interested. There is not a boring part at all. Loved the drone as well, where you could see above it all that was a great addition by the director Andrew.”
When asked what her favorite part of the film was, Russell concluded, “The best part of the Power Of Prayer, was the way everyone worked to help each other to have a successful part in the movie, whether it was a main part or even me being an extra. So, I enjoyed working with all of those that were in involved in the movie. Of course, the ending just showed how family sticks together and the prayer that God does see all. I loved the whole experience. I was honored to have been asked to be a part of this great movie. Everyone needs to see the Power of Prayer.”
