Pop band After Romeo talks new single ‘Where The People Go’ (Includes interview)

Regarding their new single “Where The People Go,” they said, “When we wrote this song we wanted something a little more unique and different than the traditional pop song, something more funky and free. Blake and Drew sat down with super-producer Gabe Lopez and started brainstorming. Lyrically the song is about being who you are no matter how weird or strange that may be. The line ‘come on down where the people go’ really points to anywhere that you feel comfortable being yourself (a house, the backyard, a bar, a coffee spot, a cafe, Target), literally, it can be anywhere. The song is about freedoms and embracing yourself for what you bring to this planet. It’s high-energy and a lot of fun!”

On their plans for the future, they said, “We are shooting a lot of videos for our YouTube channel. We want to do more than just bring music to our fans. We want to entertain them with our silly personalities. People can really see who we are in our videos, so stay tuned! Our next tour is being set up as we speak. We will be performing a full-hour long set full of new songs for our fans to learn. It’s going to be epic! We are also going to push our first song at radio, so be ready to request it!”

Regarding the origin of their band name, they said, “We wanted something people could connect to just from hearing the name. Romeo + Juliet is the most famous love story around the world, so that’s where we got the Romeo part. We also agreed to be as dedicated to our fans as Romeo was to Juliet. The Romeos can’t exist without their Juliets (and Bromeos!)”

Each day, they are motivated by each other. “We all want this so bad. Since we were kids, we dreamed of being singers and performers. It’s the best job in the world. You get to do the coolest things, and meet the most awesome people!” they exclaimed.

Each of the band members listed Elvis Presley, Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake and Chris Brown as their individual dream duet partners.

Their proudest professional moment is just sticking together and having each other’s backs through “thick and thin.”

For their fans, they concluded, “Thank you for existing! We love you and hope we can hug each and every one of you. It will happen just give it time. And make sure to follow us on socials for updates on everything.”
