The “Pathway to Paris” concert will take place on November 5 at 7 p.m. at the iconic Carnegie Hall in New York City.
Aside from Patti Smith, it will feature such guests as fellow Rock and Rock Hall of Famer Joan Baez, Mayor Martin J. Walsh of Boston, Tony Hawk, Michael Stipe, Flea, Dr. Vandana Shiva, and Olafur Eliasson, where they will urge global citizens to sign on to the campaign and push to shift their cities to 100 percent renewable energy.
This past July, as Digital Journal reported, Patti Smith was honored with the prestigious “American Eagle Award.” The accolade was presented by the National Music Council on July 13 at The Summer NAMM Show in Nashville, Tennessee.
An acclaimed poet and punk rock artist, Smith was inducted into the coveted Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2007, in its “Performers” category, and she is affectionately known as the “Godmother of Punk.”
