Patricia Clarkson earns a 2022 Primetime Emmy nomination for ‘State of the Union’

Acclaimed actress Patricia Clarkson scored a 2022 Primetime Emmy nomination for her acting work in “State of the Union.”

Acclaimed actress Patricia Clarkson has a major reason to be proud. She scored a 2022 Primetime Emmy nomination for her acting work in “State of the Union.”

She is nominated for “Outstanding Actress in a Short Form Comedy or Drama Series” for playing Ellen in “State of the Union.

Clarkson is nominated alongside such actresses as Jacinte Blakenship (“Intersection”), Desi Lydic (“Desi Lydic Foxplains”), Rhea Seehorn (“Cooper’s Bar”), and Sydnee Washington (“Bridesman).

Clarkson’s luminous acting partner, Brendan Gleeson, is also up for the Emmy for “Outstanding Actor in a Short Form Comedy or Drama Series.”

The short-form series “State of the Union” was created by Nick Hornby, and directed by distinguished director Stephen Frears. It premiered on February 14th on SundanceTV.

In the past, Clarkson has won two Emmy Awards for “Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series” for her acting work in the defunct TV series “Six Feet Under.” She is also an Academy Award nominee for “Best Supporting Actress” for “Pieces of April.”
