Actress Paige Mobley chatted about starring in the new “‘Superman” film.
She is best known as the host of the Emmy award-winning Netflix series “Instant Dream Home,” which remains a fan favorite on the streaming platform.
Presently, she is thrilled to be playing Fleurette (the ex-girlfriend to Nicholas Hault’s Lex Luther) in James Gunn’s new DC Studios movie Superman, which releases in theaters on July 11th, 2025.
The synopsis is: Superman (David Corenswet) must reconcile his alien Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing as reporter Clark Kent.
As the embodiment of truth, justice, and the human way he soon finds himself in a world that views these as old-fashioned. Rachel Brosnahan portrays Lois Lane.
How was your experience in ‘Superman’?
It was a dream. The scale, the talent, the energy—it was everything you hope a project like this will be! But what made it truly special was the atmosphere James Gunn created on set. It was exciting, challenging, and just plain fun.
What did you like most about your character, Fleurette?
I loved that she wasn’t one-dimensional. Fleurette has a survivor’s instinct. There’s a strength to her that I found really compelling.
What motivates you each day as an actress?
Honestly, it’s my love for the performing arts. I’ve been performing since I was a kid, and there’s just something about it that lights me up.
Whether it’s acting, teaching theater, or even watching a great performance, I feel most connected to storytelling.
How does it feel to be an actor in the digital age?
It’s a mix of opportunity and over-stimulation. On one hand, there are more platforms and voices being celebrated than ever before.
On the other hand, there’s constant visibility. I think it’s important to utilize all opportunities while also staying grounded to the art!
What do your plans for the future include?
I’m developing projects with my production company, Longmeadow!
On a personal note, I’m renovating a home and planning a wedding, so there’s a lot of joy off-screen too!
What is your advice for young and aspiring performers?
The harder you work, the luckier you get!
What does the word success mean to you? (My favorite question)
To me, success means living with both joy and purpose. It’s waking up excited about what you’re creating and knowing that it matters—not just to others, but to you.
It’s something meaningful to pour myself into and a sense of happiness in the doing.
What would you like to tell our readers about ‘Superman’? (What’s the one thing you want them to get out of it?)
That it’s okay to believe in good. This version of “Superman” is bold, fun, and action-packed—but at its heart, it’s about hope.
