Op-Ed: Toly Rod’s ‘Eso No Es Normal’ is the best Latin pop song of 2017

His song “Eso No Es Normal” was officially released on October 16, 2017, and it was accompanied by an impressive lyric video that truly captured the essence of the song. The smooth tune contains elements of Reggaeton, as well as Mambo, pop and even electronic music.

Toly Rod’s vocals were smooth as silk. He is able to form a strong connection with his fans and listeners. Even if the listeners do not understand Spanish, they will still be able to be moved by Rod’s “Eso No Es Normal,” which proves that music is a universal language.

The Verdict

Overall, Toly Rod stay true to his musical roots on his song, which is very authentic and honest. Most impressive about Rod is that he does not lip sync, unlike most of the contemporary Latin pop superstars out there. Hopefully, there will be a lot more solo music to come in the future from Toly Rod, as well as a full-length music video down the line. His musical work is very promising.
