Op-Ed: Margaret Cho should win 2017 Grammy award for ‘Best Comedy Album’

Her American Myth album features her smash hit “Anna Nicole,” where she pays homage to her friend and late actress, Anna Nicole Smith.

After several career nominations in this category, especially in a field that has been dominated by men, Cho is long-overdue for a Grammy win.

In her latest studio album, American Myth, she is able to showcase a great deal of versatility as a singer-songwriter. Cho consistently puts out good comedic and musical work, and she ought to be finally recognized for it by the Recording Academy from her peers in the industry.
