Op-Ed: Father’s day: Trent Tomlinson — Country singer-songwriter, father

Tomlinson released his new studio album, That’s What’s Working Right Now, which garnered favorable reviews from fans, music critics and peers alike. It features his spitfire radio title track single, where he ought to be commended for staying true to his musical roots, and for releasing quality country music that is meaningful to fans and listeners (something that is lacking on today’s country radio airwaves).

As a songwriter, Tomlinson scored his latest chart-topping single for co-writing “In Case You Didn’t Know” with country star Brett Young. Most recently, they performed the song together on stage, and Young praise his new studio album, and rightfully so.

Aside from his musical endeavors, Tomlinson is a loving father to his daughter, Harleigh Alexyia Tomlinson. So we would like to wish the country crooner a “Happy Father’s Day” for tomorrow.

In the meantime, let’s all listen to his signature country song “One Wing in the Fire.”
