Op-Ed: Derren Brown puts on best magic show for the first half of 2017

The award-winning mentalist commanded the stage for the entire duration, and was extremely well-spoken. One could simply not take their eyes off of Brown, and they were left in goosebumps. Simply put, it was an outstanding one-man show, where he had a lot of things going on, all at the same time, and he sustained the audience’s attention throughout. He synthesized all of the information well, and they all make sense in the end. Most importantly, Brown was able to touch his viewers and fans on an emotional level as he took everybody on a psychological journey with him.

His “Secret” show at the Linda Gross Theater in New York City garnered a glowing review from Digital Journal. The production runs for one more week, until June 25, where he performs as part of the Atlantic Theater Company. “Secret” was co-written by Andy Nyman, Andrew O’Connor and Brown; moreover, Nyman and O’Connor served as his co-directors
