Op-Ed: Dale Ann Bradley should win Grammy award for Best Bluegrass Album

Bradley is the sole female nominee in this year’s category, and arguably the greatest vocalist out of the entire list of nominees. It is no wonder that she has been crowned “Female Vocalist of the Year” by the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) five times in her career. In addition, Bradley has been hailed by music critics and fans as “The Queen of Bluegrass Soul.”

A Kentucky native, Bradley ranked No. 1 in Digital Journal’s list of “5 Best Female Voices in Bluegrass Music,” and her nominated album is absolutely stellar, as Digital Journal previously reported.

The Verdict

Overall, this Grammy nomination for “Best Bluegrass Album” is long overdue for Dale Ann Bradley, and there would be no justice if she did not take the award home this year. Her time has finally come.
