Op-Ed: Criss Angel has the best magic productions of 2015

Earlier in the year, Angel performed “Mindfreak Live!” at The Paramount, and it was simply the greatest magic spectacle this journalist had ever witnessed, where Angel immersed his audience in his world of magic. The “metamorphosis” demonstration that he single-handedly performed at that show took place within a split second.

His latest show, “The Supernaturalists,” which he directed, created and executive produced, took place in June at the Foxwoods Resort Casino’s The Fox Theater, featured nine exceptional magicians, who displayed their prowess in their individual magic specialties, whether it was close-up magic, street magic, card manipulations, dog conjuring, illusions, escape artistry, or comedy magic. In the most recent production of “The Supernaturalists,” on December 19, Angel himself performed in the second act.

Most impressive about Angel is that these two aforementioned productions are his traveling ones, which he takes from state to state, and venue to venue. He also has a live show at The Luxor in Las Vegas entitled “Believe,” featuring Cirque du Soleil, which he performs 10 times a week.
