Op-Ed: Amber Ferrari is Long Island’s ‘Woman of the Year’ in music

Ferrari and her band consistently put on exceptional live shows, whether she is paying homage to such global music stars as Madonna at Mulcahy’s Pub and Concert Hall, or Janis Joplin at the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts.

In the first act of her live shows, she always tips her hat to the classic rock artists that she grew up on, which include Ann and Nancy Wilson from Heart, Pat Benatar, Aerosmith, Janis Joplin, Alanis Morissette and Melissa Etheridge. Ferrari’s vocal range is impressive and she commands the stage each time. It is no wonder that the “Best of Long Island Press” have voted her “Best Singer from Long Island” for three years in a row (2014, 2015, 2016). The same holds true for her band, which reigns supreme in the “Best Band (Non Cover)” category each year.
