Op-Ed: Adele’s Radio City Music Hall show: Best female concert of 2015

Adele had the crowd with her from the very first note, while she opened with her newest single, the power-ballad “Hello,” which had a haunting vibe to it. Her vocals were able to send chills down her listeners’ spines, and her “Hometown Glory” tribute to the recent Paris attacks was heartfelt and moving.

She was able to debut songs from her newest studio album 25, while also taking her fans on a trip down memory lane with such hits as “Chasing Pavements,” “Rolling in the Deep” and yet another power-ballad “Someone Like You.” With one stellar vocal performance after the other, it will be difficult for fans and listeners to select a favorite song from her new CD.

Adele proved that she is one true song stylist, where she allowed her tremendous voice to do all the talking. There was no dancing, gimmicks or lame choreography. Simply pure and ethereal vocals, coupled with her expressive hand gestures.
