Elton John: In his moving tribute, Elton John noted that he is in deep shock about the loss of George Michael. “I have lost a beloved friend,” he added. “The kindest, most generous soul and a brilliant artist.”
John collaborated with Michael on their chart-topping duet “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me.”
Madonna: The Material Girl posted a YouTube clip from the 1989 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs), where she presented George Michael with the “Video Vanguard Award.” “Farewell My Friend,” Madonna posted on her Instagram page. “Another Great Artist leaves us,” she added.
