One Direction releases brand new single ‘Drag Me Down’

It was a pleasant surprise for their fans, especially since they released “Drag Me Down” impromptu this morning.

It is a slight departure from their previous work, yet it showcases a more mature sound to their music, and it was made to be performed at large stadiums. “Drag Me Down” consists of crashing guitars, as well as the band’s soaring harmonies.

Throughout their career in the music industry, One Direction has become a global phenomenon, selling over 65 million units worldwide, while performing for over 7.5 million fans. This past May, they took home two Billboard Music Awards, for “Top Touring Artist,” as well as for “Top Group.”

One Direction is out touring, bring their music to their fans. They are on the American leg of their “On The Road Again” arena tour, where they will be performing at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on August 5.

After the departure of Zayn Malik, the pop group is now a quartet consisting of Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, Niall Horan and Harry Styles.

They are expected to return to the United Kingdom this September, for yet another sold-out stadium tour; moreover, their fifth studio album is scheduled for release in November of 2015.
