Actor Colin Egglesfield is an actor, author, and entrepreneur. He chatted about his latest projects and endeavors.

Egglesfield grew up in a small town outside of Chicago, Illinois. Having crafted a successful acting career working on hit television shows such as “All My Children,” “Melrose Place,” and “The Client List,” he has also starred opposite some of the entertainment industry’s top talent including Kate Hudson, Gary Oldman, and Sylvester Stallone, among others.

From June 24 to 26, he was a part of the fan event RomaDrama Live! in West Palm Beach, Florida.

On being a part of RomaDrama, he said, “It has been awesome, and a lot of fun. It is great to meet my fans that have been watching my projects over the years. Just to hear the influence and the impact that it has had on them has been awesome. It is nice to have some normalcy in our lives.”

In his book, “Agile Artist: Life Lessons from Hollywood and Beyond,” Egglesffield shared incredible insight and the strategies he had to adapt not only to overcome the odds in pursuit of his acting career but also to survive two bouts of cancer. His inspiring message of resilience encourages others that they too can overcome their personal challenges and adversity in pursuit of what matters most in life.

He shared that he works with a company called R3 Stem Cell, where he is essentially their brand ambassador. “There are a lot of benefits to stem cell therapy,” he said. I’ve had two stem cell treatments where they have done an infusion (like an IV) and my asthma and eyesight have gotten better. I highly recommend people look into stem cell therapies, especially those dealing with any health ailments. Stem cell therapy truly is the future of medicine,” he said.

On the title of the current chapter of his life, Egglesfield said, “Massive Impact.” “In this chapter of my life, I am doing some motivational speaking and I am speaking at corporate events and panels.”

If he were to write, produce, and direct his own short film, he revealed that it would be on “relationship-driven stories” as well as “stories on mentorship” especially from an older man to a younger man on how to transition from boyhood to manhood.

“These days, young men don’t have the rituals that they used to, especially in regard to taking responsibility in their lives and how to treat women the way they need to be treated so that they feel protected, heard, and listened to. I am working on a film that has this mentorship in it,” he explained.

Success

On his definition of the word success, Egglesfield said, “Being fulfilled in life.” “Waking up in the morning and knowing that you have purpose and what you do has a positive impact on other people,” he said.

“Surround yourself with people that support you and love you. Also, having someone in your life that you can express your love for,” he added.

For his fans, Egglesfield expressed his sincere appreciation. “Thank you for being fans of my work all of these years,” he said. “Don’t give up despite any challenges that come up in your lives. I think it is important to have the courage to ask for help when you need it.”

“Keep an open mind knowing that there is so much out there that can we learn from and it’s important to never stop learning. Take the time to get out of your comfort zone, travel, and meet other people. Keep an open mind on how to communicate better with others,” he concluded.
