U.S. Olympic silver medalist swimmer Jay Litherland is also a musician.

He and his (triplet) brothers, Kevin and Mick, released their new song “Lefty” as part of the group TRiiiPSS.

Regarding the song “Lefty,” Kevin said, “I wrote this song three years ago when I was wanting to pursue music. Creating music gave me an outlet during tough times and this song made me reflect on how precious life is.”

“I go through these feelings of doubt and sometimes it’s hard to confess my true purpose in life. This song expresses that, and we all go through these feelings. At the end of the day, it’ll all work out according to plan,” Kevin added.

On the concept for the song’s music video,” Jay said, “This is actually Kevin’s apartment in Japan. It became our studio this summer, where over half of our upcoming album was created.”

“After dinner on one of our last nights there, I put the iPhone up on the dash and we just started playing ‘Lefty’,” he said. “We just wanted to mess around and give each other freedom for each of our verses with no expectations of making a music vid. We didn’t wanna force anything. We wanted to bring our studio to our fans with ‘Lefty,’ because we want you on this ride with us as we continue to make music.”
