Oh Honey talks Webster Hall concert, new EP and ‘Be Okay’ (Includes interview)

The duo is on their first national headlining tour, which will include a concert at The Studio at Webster Hall on April 15. “That is really exciting,” Mitchy said. “It is our first headlining show in New York City, and it has been a long time coming. It is going to be a special night.”

Danielle added, “We have been to The Studio at Webster Hall so many times, but we never played there before. It’s going to be a fun venue too.”

Oh Honey’s new EP Wish You Were Here is their third of four EPs as part of “The Postcard Series.” It features their new single “Sugar, You.” The final installment of their EP will arrive in July.

Danielle listed “Compass” as her favorite song on the EP, while Mitch gravitated towards “A Thousand Times” and “It Can’t Rain Forever.”

Their breakthrough single “Be Okay” has achieved widespread international acclaim, especially since it has been features in films, commercials, among many other TV series such as Fox’s Glee, ABC’s Selfie,as well as advertisements for Best Buy, Google Android and Chili’s Bar & Grill. “That’s pretty awesome. It has definitely been a good year,” Danielle said. “It is wild. I am a big fan of Chili’s,” Mitch said with a laugh.

Oh Honey’s plans for the future are to continue to tour, where they will be sharing the stage with songstress Ingrid Michaelson this summer. They will be playing on the Today Show on April 29, which is yet another milestone for the Brooklyn duo.
