According to Treyarch’s guideline, the definition of an offensive emblem is one that is sexually gratuitous, culturally offensive material, and features foul language. Most notable is their desire crackdown on players who use nude pics, Nazi or terrorist symbols in their emblems.
Players who violate the policy will face either a temporary or permanent ban from customizing their personal emblems. The length of the ban is based on the seriousness of the offensive logo and how often the player is violating the guideline.
This is not the first time that such a policy has been made regarding behavior within the multiplayer community. Treyarch had issued the same policy in the past regarding Black Ops and Black Ops II while other Call of Duty games have a similar policy.
While the policy is made to ensure that all players have a good time, Call of Duty players feel a little mixed in regards to it. Gamers either support the policy as being necessary or as means to push political correctness among the gaming community.
Call of Duty: Black Ops III is the twelfth game in the popular series and the fourth game in the World at War / Black Ops-story arch. The game is set in a dystopian future were an augmented Special Forces unit must stop a squad that has gone rogue.
