New Man of Steel trailer shows darker, brooding Superman

Running at 2:33, the Man of Steel trailer offers the first full peek at the Superman reboot, directed by Zach Snyder (300).

The mood is darker than the other Superman films, as several moments show Clark Kent as more of a brooding reluctant superhero than you’d expect.

Superman, played by Henry Cavill, is shown in his superhero garb, and clips give fans a glimpse of his super powers. One of the more stand-out scenes has Superman making an impressive ground-to-space jump move.

Adams, as love interest Lois Lane, is joined by several other A-listers, including Kevin Costner as Supe’s Dad, Diane Lane as his adopted mom, Russell Crowe as his Kryptonian dad Jor-El, Laurence Fishburne as Daily Planet editor Perry White and Michael Shannon as the nemesis General Zod.

Man of Steel is due for a June 13, 2013 release.
