New Dark Knight Rises trailer features more Bane, Catwoman

Due to hit theatres July 20, The Dark Knight Rises is the final installment in Christopher Nolan’s take on the Batman saga. Now fans can learn more about the film’s plot, villains and supporting cast with the latest trailer to spread across the Web, thanks to the Warner Bros YouTube account.

The trailer, clocking in at 2:19, looks at Catwoman (Anne Hathaway) talking to Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) about “a storm coming”, hints at the rest of the explosive action seen in the trailer.

The main villain Bane (Tom Hard) is seen several more times in this trailer compared to previous sneak peeks, and there’s the sense Bane kidnapped Wayne in some form and decided to toy with the billionaire superhero in some dank well.

We see Bane enacting chaos across downtown Gotham, and shots of Joseph Gordon-Levitt looking confused or scared, and children pining for Batman’s return. It all makes for a busy trailer, complete with eerie piano-centric music and only brief snatches of dialogue.

The Dark Knight Rises follows The Dark Knight film, a box-office smash in 2008 and one of the last films starring Heath Ledger, who played The Joker.
