On his song “I Miss You and Me,” Esten said, “It is one of my faves. I’ve been writing music most of my life, since I was very little. The older I got, the more I got into country music, and I did that with more intention. I ended up doing a co-write in Los Angeles with Jane Bach. This was several years before I even heard of Nashville. This was the first song that really got me.”
“I Miss You and Me” is available on iTunes.
His plans for the future are quite busy. “Saturday, I’m going to Athens, Georgia, to play the Georgia Theatre, and then we go to Florida to do the Strawberry Festival there. Both of these shows will be with my great friend, Clare Bowen. I will also be playing at Billy Bob’s in Texas. We have seven episodes left for this season of Nashville, before we are done.”
Esten added that the “Nashville Tour” will be going back to the United Kingdom and Ireland, which will include performances at the Royal Albert Hall.
He had nothing but the greatest words for The Paramount in Huntington on Long Island. “I have every intention of going back there. I have never met a better group of people. They were so kind. They were wonderful,” he said, praising The Paramount.
The Nashville star praised singer-songwriter Mark Collie as one of his favorite co-writers. “He is easily one of my favorite co-writers. He and I do really well together,” Esten admitted.
Esten revealed that his new single, the melancholic “When Love Leaves” is available on iTunes.
