Review: Jonathan Jackson + Enation delivers on ‘Revolution of the Heart’ (Includes first-hand account)

This is the lead single of their upcoming studio album, Anthems For The Apocalypse, which will be released on July 14 on their own, independent record label, Hilasterion Records, with a distribution through Sony RED. Their “Revolution of the Heart” music video may be seen on the official CMT website. It was directed by The Jackson Brothers.

“Revolution of the Heart” is an anti-political, political tune that front-man Jonathan Jackson wrote. The acclaimed singer-songwriter noted that there were good revolutions throughout history but many ended up being terrible and destructive, even when there were good intentions involved. In this new song, he sings about a deeper revolution, a revolution of the heart, which deals with love and humanity.

Aside from his music, Jackson is an Emmy-winning actor, who is known for his role as Lucky Spencer on General Hospital.

The Verdict

Their single “Revolution of the Heart” is well-crafted and impressive; moreover, it showcases the band’s growth as musicians from a holistic standpoint. Jonathan Jackson never disappoints. It garners an A rating.
