Review: Joe Nichols superb on new radio single ‘Never Gets Old’ (Includes first-hand account)

Nichols‘ rich, baritone vocals on “Never Gets Old” are reminiscent of the late Merle Haggard meets Don Williams. It has that vintage country sound that will never go out of style. He collaborated with veteran producer Brent Rowan on this project, and they did a fine job. Nichols sings from the heart, and manages to form a strong connection with his audience.

“Never Gets Old” is the lead single and title track of his upcoming studio effort, which will be released on July 28. “Never gets old watching you laugh, feeling your kiss, kissing me back, I never get tired, tired of that no it never gets old,” Nichols sings, in the catchy chorus.

The Verdict

Overall, Joe Nichols is exceptional on his new radio single “Never Gets Old,” and to quote its title, it is one of those songs will certainly never get old (due to its retro vibe to it, and heart-warming lyrics). Grab a bottle of wine, and let him lure you in. He epitomizes the best that modern country music has to offer. The production on this song is top-notch. If this new single is any indication how his new album will sound like, then his fans and listeners should be in for a real treat. His lead single garners five out of five stars.

“Never Gets Old” is available on iTunes.
