Review: Joe Nichols debuts new track ‘Diamonds Make Babies’ off new album (Includes first-hand account)

“Diamonds Make Babies” has a neo-tradional vibe to it, with a more modern production. At some point, it would make a good choice for a future radio single.

Similar to the lead title track single, “Diamonds Make Babies” was produced by veteran country producer and musician Brent Rowan. The song has been covered by many country artists (such as Dierks Bentley and Bradley Gaskin) but nobody does it quite like Joe.

His new album Never Gets Old is available for pre-order on iTunes and on Amazon.

The Verdict

Overall, Joe Nichols delivers on his new album cut “Diamonds Make Babies.” His rich, baritone voice is a wonder in itself. Thanks for keeping it country. Nichols’ new music is everything that is missing these days from the country radio airwaves. “Diamonds Make Babies” garners 4.5 out of 5 stars. Well done.
