This was certainly an item that the band crossed off their bucket list. In October of 2017, Alter Bridge played two sold-out shows at the Royal Albert Hall in London, where they were joined by the 52-piece Parallax Orchestra, which is conducted by Simon Dobson.
Napalm Records will release this collection, Live At The Royal Album Hall on September 7, 2018. It will consist of 21 of the band’s biggest songs, including a few obscure tracks such as “Words Darker Than Their Wings,” which they never played live before. It will be available in such formats as Blu-Ray, DVD, CD and even vinyl. The trailer of the collection may be seen below.
Live at the Royal Albert Hall (Alter Bridge featuring The Parallax Orchestra) is available for pre-order on iTunes, and on Spotify.
Most impressive about this studio effort is the fact that a portion of the proceeds from the sales will go towards the Future Song Foundation, which is an organization that is close to Myles Kennedy’s heart. For more information on the Future Song Foundation, check outs its website.
Aside from front-man Myles Kennedy on lead vocals and guitars, Alter Bridge is made up on Mark Tremonti on lead guitar and vocals, bassist Brian Marshall and drummer Scott Phillips.
