Morgan Wallen soars ‘Up’ the country charts with ‘Up Down’ single

The single reached the top of the Mediabase/Country Aircheck and Billboard Hot Country Airplay charts this week; moreover, the song has been certified gold from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). It was co-written by Michael Hardy, Brad Clawson, and CJ Solar, and it is a collaboration with multi-platinum country duo Florida Georgia Line.

The country musician noted that this song changed his life, especially since it has taken him and his band from a van to a tour bus, and from clubs to sharing the stage with country superstar Luke Bryan at stadiums. “The song has shown me how many people are just like me when it comes to the things we consider to be a good time, and the things we love,” Wallen said.

Wallen added that having Florida Georgia Line on the song makes it that much “sweeter.” He expressed his love for the duo and hopes that this will not be their last collaboration together.

Most recently, on June 2, Wallen opened for country mega-star Luke Bryan at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, as part of his headlining “What Makes You Country Tour.” Wallen’s live set earned a favorable review from Digital Journal.
