Emmy award-winning actor and producer Mike Manning chatted with Digital Journal’s Markos Papadatos about being a part of the “Samantha’s Friends” event next weekend in Florida.

On Saturday, September 25, and Sunday, September 26, the “Samantha’s Friends” benefit fundraiser will be held at the Lakewood Ranch Golf & Country Club in Florida, and it raises funds for the Southeastern Guide Dogs. This event will have an “Animal Kingdom” theme to it.

“I love the work that ‘Samantha’s Friends’ does, raising money for the Southeastern Guide Dogs. They bring together fans from all over the world to have a good time. I’ll be performing with my dad at this year’s Animal Kingdom-themed charity GALA. Expect Tarzan clothes,” he remarked.

Manning will be joined by such “Days of Our Lives” actors as Paul Telfer, Brock Kelly, Jordi Vilasuso, Eric Martsolf, and Stacy Haiduk.

This past summer, as Digital Journal reported, Manning and actor Eric Nelsen earned Emmy recognition for the same-sex storyline in “The Bay,” which was filmed during the pandemic. Manning won the Daytime Emmy Award for “Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Daytime Fiction Program.”
