Mike DelGuidice talks 102nd Billy Joel concert at MSG in New York (Includes interview)

DelGuidice sings background vocals and plays guitar for the “Piano Man” in his live band, where he is joined by an all-star group of musicians.

This concert will mark Billy Joel’s 102nd career concert at the World’s Most Famous Arena, Madison Square Garden in the “Big Apple.” “That will be another notch in Billy Joel’s belt. Billy has been killing it at The Garden. I am very proud of him,” he said. “The September 30th show is going to be fun,” DelGuidice foreshadowed.

On September 22, DelGuidice performed at Mulcahy’s Pub and Concert Hall in Wantagh with the Billy Joel tribute band, Big Shot, where he sings the music of his boss, Billy Joel.

One week prior to that, on September 16, DelGuidice performed the national anthem at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, before the New York Jets home opener game vs. the Miami Dolphins. “The best part about doing that is when it’s over,” he said, with a laugh. “The minute you end it. Singing the national anthem was a little scary, but I made it through. I didn’t pass out. It was a good experience though, but of course, the Jets lost.”
