Big Shot’s Mike DelGuidice talks Veterans Day and Billy Joel (Includes interview)

For DelGuidice, Veterans Day is always a special concert. “It’s always good to do Veteran’s Day here at Mulcahy’s. We get to sing ‘Goodnight Saigon’ tonight, and it’s always a patriotic gig,” he explained.

Tonight at Mulcahy’s Pub and Concert Hall, anybody with an active/veterans ID card would get one free drink on behalf of Big Shot front-man Mike DelGuidice, in an effort to express their gratitude for their service. “I’m know Mulcahy’s is going to take care of our veterans all night, since that’s just how they are, especially for this kind of night. Hopefully, we can honor as many people as possible, and honor Billy Joel, and do the right thing. God bless!” he said.

On December 20, DelGuidice will be performing at the “World’s Most Famous Arena,” Madison Square Garden with Billy Joel, as part of his live band, where he plays guitar and sings background vocals. “I always look forward to Madison Square Garden. I’m not sure what songs we will be doing yet, but I’m sure there will be a few holiday songs in there,” he said. “Then, we have New Year’s Eve in Florida. Billy has been performing there every year now.”

DelGuidice also revealed that he is a fan of the iconic rock group The Moody Blues, who are nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year. “I love The Moody Blues,” he admitted. “Their name fits their music,” he added.

Regarding his plans for the future, he said, “To stay alive. To be healthy and for my kids and family to be healthy, and to live one day at a time.”
