What inspires your music and songwriting?

When I interpret or create art, I’m aware of my role as an artist. It’s a chance to share something beautiful and captivating with the world. Making art at this level is a big deal.

You dig deep into your knowledge, enter a space where amazing ideas come to life, and, with strong dedication, make your artistic vision real. This is what inspires me: to be among the best artists and leave a lasting mark on the world.

What do your plans for the future include?

My aim is to fully embrace my life’s divine purpose, talents and I aspire to lead a joyful, fulfilling, and abundant life. Through my singing, I aim to project love and compassion to all I can reach.

Singing is my way of expressing love, and I envision a future where I pursue a music career filled with touring, composing, and recording, all guided by this loving purpose.

How does it feel to be an artist in the digital age? (Now with streaming, technology, and social media being so prevalent?

In any era, a truly great artist can thrive, no matter the medium, as it’s the medium that serves as the vessel for their art. Quality always finds its way to the surface, but it often requires experienced individuals to position it optimally and efficiently.

That being said, the digital age offers incredible opportunities through social media marketing. It’s a vast platform to showcase your identity and work at minimal costs. Those who grasp the art of self-promotion on social media can build successful careers, capturing the attention of producers, talent scouts, agents, and managers.

The days of knocking on doors or auditioning in person have transformed – now you can simply send a digital recording or video. You can even upload entire movies financed by the public, start your own podcast or digital channel, and distribute your recordings on platforms like iTunes.

Similar to earlier broadcasting avenues, these new media platforms are also funded by advertising.

For the most impact, combining the resources of a record label with a smart social media strategy offers significant advantages in reaching a wide domestic and global audience.

Today’s playing field is broader, and the competition is intense. The label and social media synergy can exponentially engage and educate a much larger audience of listeners and potential buyers.

What is your advice for young and aspiring artists?

Surround yourself with greatness. Get to know the most accomplished artists who’ve paved the way. Seek out seasoned, masterful teachers and mentors who genuinely care about your growth.

Be ready to put in the effort, maintain unwavering professionalism, and lay the foundation for a lasting, enduring career.

Were there any moments in your career that have helped define you?

Much of who I am today is shaped by both adversity and love. I’ve encountered numerous challenges in my career that tested the depth of my character. Would I allow heartbreak and betrayal to define me? Absolutely not.

I instinctively recognized the value of channeling every experience and life lesson into my music. Over time, it became a trusted companion, a vessel for my stories.

Some of my most profound and defining moments have emerged from the connections formed after a show, where I hear how my performance touched someone. Knowing that my music resonates with my peers or those I look up to is immensely gratifying. And of course, I can’t help but smile when someone tells me that my music is their favorite, the soundtrack to their daily drive.

I genuinely hope that this conversation with you can be one of those extraordinary moments, perhaps even the greatest of them all.

Which artists would you like to do a dream duet with someday… and why?

Ideally, I envision collaborating with the foremost and most respected contemporary vocalists. Let’s not dismiss the idea of duets or even performing alongside the legends of the past.

Considering the dedication required for contemporary duets, the word “inspirational” comes to mind again. I can envision a timeless performance infused with humanity, authenticity, and love.

My dream encompasses a Masters Mix, a dream team featuring the Jackson Brothers, Snoop Dogg, and Peter Assing on the saxophone, uniting to create an electrifying blend of pop, jazz, rap, and soul.

Building on this dream, I’d eagerly welcome the voices of Andrea Bocelli, John Legend, Michael Bublé, and Barbra Streisand.

What does the word success mean to you? (My favorite question)

Coincidently, that is my favorite dream. Perhaps the wisest answer is how would I define my success in the very last moments of my life. Things come into a simple and high focus for all of us:  the love we gave and received, the respect we earned, the assistance we offered, and the fulfillment we experienced, among other factors.

Success comes with responsibility so I would ask for every success and the wisdom and grace  to perfectly manage it.
