Microsoft unveils Forza Motorsport 6 for Xbox One; Ford GT stars

Developer Turn 10 Studios announced the new game at the Detroit Motor Show yesterday alongside Ford’s worldwide launch of its re-invented high-performance GT. This car will be the cover art for the game as the main content star.
It will be joined by other vehicles from the company’s high-performance line-up including the F-150 Raptor pickup truck and Shelby GT350 Mustang, also a new car. Microsoft’s Xbox Wire blog wrote “Forza fans will have the opportunity to drive these cars when they debut in Forza 6.” The game will of course include a vast array of other vehicles to choose from, like its predecessors. High-performance cars new and old are featured alongside some less powerful machines.
Turn 10 creative director Dan Greenawalt said of the unveiling “Just as Ford has pushed the boundaries of car technology in GT, Forza Motorsport 6 will embrace that spirit of innovation as our most technically advanced racing simulation to date, offering a fun and realistic automotive experience for both car lovers and gamers.” He added that the studio was looking forward to showing off gameplay at E3 in June.
2015 is the tenth year of the Forza Motorsport series. New titles are typically released every two years. Forza 5 arrived late 2013 as a launch title for the Xbox One. As such, Forza 6 can be expected to be available towards the end of this year.
