Melissa Etheridge to perform at The Paramount in Huntington

Throughout her illustrious career in rock music, Etheridge has won two Grammy awards for “Best Female Rock Vocal Performance” for “Ain’t It Heavy” and for her signature tune “Come To My Window.” She has been nominated for a total of 15 Grammy awards.

In 2007, she won an Academy Award for “Best Original Song” for writing “I Need To Wake Up,” from former Vice President’s Al Gore’s documentary, An Inconvenient Truth. In 2011, Etheridge received the honor of having her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Her hit radio singles include “Bring Me Some Water,” “I’m The Only One,” “No Souvenirs,” “Similar Features,” “Your Little Secret,” “I Want To Be In Love,” the inspirational “I Run For Life,” “I Want To Come Over,” “Angels Would Fall,” “Like The Way I Do,” as well as “Come To My Window.”

Etheridge’s twelfth studio album, This Is M.E. was released on September 30 via her own record label, ME Records, and it was distributed by Primary Wave. She either wrote or co-wrote all eleven tracks on her new CD.
