Country artist Joey Canyon chatted about serving as CEO of Canyon Star TV. Canyon was recently inducted into the Colorado Country Music Hall of Fame. He is trying to make a difference with Canyon Star TV with the inclusion of more feel-good content.

Inspiration to start the Canyon Star TV platform

Canyon noted that he was inspired to start Canyon Star TV, especially since when all he saw on TV was sex, violence, profanity, and immorality. “We have more genre selections than other platforms, and we are a true family friendly network, including our commercials,” he said about Canyon Star TV.

Daily motivations

He opened up about his daily motivations as a CEO and country artist: “The God given gifts and talents to make a difference in other peoples lives, through my music, my TV show, and Canyon Star TV.”

Future plans

On his plans for the future, he shared, “Definitely more new music, and more original programming for Canyon Star.”

The digital age

On being a CEO and country artist in the digital age, now with streaming, technology, and social media being so prevalent, he said, “Digital technology, especially streaming platforms and social media, have opened the doors to a global and instant audience.”

“It has provided a vast amount of creative possibilities that allows responsible creators to influence those in a global market in a positive way. As an artist, my music can be heard all around the world,” he added.

Technology in his daily routine

Regarding his use of technology in his daily routine, he said, “Technology is what I count on, from marketing, creative work across our television network, communication, and so much more. We wouldn’t be able to function without it.”

Success

On his definition of success, he said, “Success comes in different forms. I first want to be a successful person, being a successful person is the road to all other successes, be it money, or business.”

Closing thoughts on Canyon Star TV

Canyon remarked, “I’m hoping people can look at Canyon Star TV as a safe haven for their families to enjoy programming without fear of violence, inappropriate sexual situations, immoral messages, profanity, and the same with commercials.”
