Actor Matt Cornett chatted about being a part of “Zombies 3,” which premiered on the streaming service Disney+ on July 15.

Cornett plays “A-lan,” a very intelligent and telepathic extraterrestrial who enjoys competing against the non-alien students at Seabrook High in “Zombies 3,” which is the third installment in Disney’s hugely successful franchise.

“This movie is wild in all of the best ways,” Cornett admitted. “I love that movie, it came out yesterday. It was incredible and a wild four-month journey, all of those people are now family to me.”

“The first month involved us just doing dance rehearsals before we even started shooting the movie,” he said. “The shoot was very tough but it was also very fun. There were a lot of night shoots.”

Synopsis of ‘Zombies 3’

“Zombies 3” stars Milo Manheim as zombie Zed and Meg Donnelly as cheerleader Addison, who are beginning their senior year at Seabrook High in the town that’s become a safe haven for monsters and humans alike.

Zed is anticipating an athletic scholarship that will make him the first zombie to attend college, while Addison is gearing up for Seabrook’s first international cheer-off. Then suddenly, extraterrestrial beings arrive in Seabrook, provoking something other than friendly competition.

On the title of the current chapter of his life, Cornett said, “One Step at a Time.”

He shared the greatest lesson that the acting profession has ever taught him. “To just be fully yourself and don’t worry about what other people think.”

“Live your life and enjoy your life because nobody else is in control of your life except you,” he said. “The most important thing is how you view yourself and how you love yourself.”

Cornett listed Sam Worthington, The Rock, Daisy Ridley, and Margot Robbie, as his dream acting partners.

For his fans, Cornett concluded about “Zombies 3,” “I feel like there is something for everybody in ‘Zombies 3.’ Also, in these movies, it is so wonderful to see the zombies co-existing with the humans, which is how it should be. The overall story is that everyone is welcome and everybody is loved. In this movie, in particular, there are a lot of stories that are being told.”
