Actor Matt Cornett chatted about “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series” Season 3.
He plays the role of EJ Caswell in the popular Disney+ series. “Doing Season 3 was incredible,” he admitted. “I think it’s our best season yet. It was cool getting to be in Los Angeles and doing things a little differently. This show is so insanely special.”
In Season 3, The Wildcats head to Camp Shallow Lake, a California sleepaway camp, where they and their fellow campers are primed for an unforgettable summer ripe with romance, curfew-less nights, and a taste of the great outdoors.
With a high-stakes production of “Frozen” on the horizon and a drama-filled “docu-series” of the production, the Wildcats will attempt to show who is “best in snow” without leaving anyone out in the cold.

Cornett had great words about working with Emmy winner Jacob Young, who played his father Cash Cashwell in the show. “Jacob is amazing, he is an awesome guy, and I didn’t know that he sings country music. Jacob is incredible, I talk to him quite a bit, and he is great,” he exclaimed.
He also had nice words about collaborating with Olivia Rose Keegan (who plays Lily) on “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.” “Olivia is so special, she is wildly talented,” he admitted. “I don’t think Olivia can make a bad choice, every single choice she makes is so perfect. That’s why she works a lot because she is incredible, and it is amazing that she has an Emmy.”
On his definition of success, he remarked, “For me, success is having a loving family, loving friends, being happy and healthy. I feel successful when I have the right people around me, and when I have good friends that I know love me.”
“I feel very lucky to have a family that has been by my side through every single thing, always. I feel successful in knowing that I have people that love me,” Cornett added.
For his dedicated “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series” fans, Cornett stated, “There is so much in this show, I just hope everybody loves it. I really do feel like there is something for everybody in this show. Everyone can see themselves somewhere in this show, and that is what is so awesome about it.”
“I hope the fans love the show as much as we love it,” he added.
