Martina McBride and Team Martina to receive prestigious award

Team Martina is Martina McBride’s global charity group and volunteer organization.

During last year, the country songstress’ fans joined together, in an effort to raise money for a music education program for the trafficked and abused girls that were living at the Covenant House Casa Alianza shelter. This music program started last fall, and as a result, the children are able to experience the joy and healing power of music.

Martina McBride and her “Team Martina” will be honored with the Covenant House “Beacon of Hope” Award in a ceremony at Lincoln Center in New York City this summer.

Speaking of McBride, she inked a record deal with Nash Icon Music.

Their next volunteer project will take place on May 15 in Northern Indiana, which will coincide with McBride’s concert in Merrillville.
