Marshall Tucker Band to sing national anthem at 2016 CMA Festival

The iconic southern rock band will be kicking off their stadium concert on Saturday, June 11. “Getting asked to perform our national anthem at CMA Music Fest is a huge honor,” said Doug Gray, front-man of the Marshall Tucker Band, and the group’s sole original member. “We can’t wait to get out there and salute our great country, Marshall Tucker-style.”

Other performers for Saturday night’s line-up will include such eclectic artists as Chris Young, Blake Shelton, Steven Tyler (from Aerosmith), as well as hit country duo Florida Georgia Line.

These shows will be a part of Marshall Tucker Band’s 2016 “Long Hard Ride” tour, as they as celebrating their 45th year touring out on the road.

The group was founded 45 years ago in Spartanburg, South Carolina. They are known for such classic hits as “Fire On The Mountain,” “Heard It In a Love Song” and “Can’t You See.” In 2013, Marshall Tucker Band’s logo has been named by Grammy Magazine as one of the 50 most distinctive brands in music.
