Marshall Tucker Band to embark on ‘Searchin’ for a Rainbow’ tour

It will consist of nearly 50 live concert dates, all of which have already been confirmed. The band has been around for 44 years, and their tour will kick off on January 23 at the Cone Denim Entertainment Center in Greensboro, North Carolina.

The tour’s name this year originated from their 1975 platinum-selling album, Searchin’ For a Rainbow.

Lead singer Doug Gray remarked in a press statement, “It’s looking like 2015 is shaping up to be our biggest tour schedule in years.”

The veteran southern rocker continued, “We’re adding new concerts to the books nearly every day and our booking agent can’t answer the calls fast enough. We are so thankful that our fans have stuck with us for over four decades and continue to pack our shows. We’re still out there Searchin’ for that Rainbow.”

The Marshall Tucker Band’s hometown is Spartanburg, South Carolina, and they are known for such classic hit singles as “Can’t You See,” “Heard It In a Love Song,” “Fire On The Mountain,” “Blue Ridge Mountain Sky,” “24 Hours At a Time,” among countless others.
