Actor Marcus Rosner chatted about starring in the romantic comedy “My Fake Boyfriend” on Amazon Prime Video.

“That was a nerve-wracking experience because it was so different than anything I had played before, but at the same time, it was one of the most fulfilling projects that I have gotten a chance to work on. It was extremely exciting and to be honest, I loved every second of it,” he said.

The synopsis of “My Fake Boyfriend” is as follows: Andrew (Keiynan Lonsdale) has a major problem: He can’t stay away from the toxic boyfriend Nico (Marcus Rosner) who just dumped him. His meddling friends (Dylan Sprouse and Sarah Hyland) decide to help him by creating “Cristiano,” a perfect fake boyfriend on social media. Problem solved, right? Wrong!

As Cristiano goes viral and becomes a worldwide sensation, Andrew meets his real-life dream guy, Rafi, a charming restaurant owner. Now, Andrew must find a way to put an end to the fake fling, evade his jealous ex, and win Rafi’s heart in this fun and hilarious comedy about the crazy things we do for love.

Everything backfires when he meets the real love of his life, and breaking up with his fake boyfriend proves hard to do.

“I loved that my character was so over-the-top insane, and he was the perfect character for the audience to watch be evil. I had so much fun with this character and I loved that challenge” he said.

“My Fake Boyfriend” is available on Amazon Prime Video by clicking here. “I hope people enjoy it. It’s a movie that is unabashedly over-the-top zany and crazy. Take it for what it is, and have a good time. It also has a genuine and heartfelt story and they nailed that part. It has a lot of flavors to it, and take it as it comes,” he said.

‘Romance to the Rescue’ on Hallmark

Rosner enjoyed being a part of “Romance to the Rescue,” directed by Heather Hawthorn Doyle, on Hallmark, where he starred opposite Andrea Brooks. “Andrea is the best. We bonded over our mutual love for ‘Jersey Shore’ that we would watch in the green room before the takes,” he said.

“Heather Hawthorn Doyle is one of the most passionate directors in this genre,” he added. “That was a fantastic team, I have been very lucky.”

He opened up about “The Killer in the Guest House.” “We did that a number of years ago. That was a fun experience too,” he said. “I played an evil character there too that was much less redeemable than Nico in ‘My Fake Boyfriend’. I worked with Chelsea Hobbs and director Tony Dean Smith is on the rise right now, he is going places. We all got along great.”

Working with Brittany Bristow

Recently, Rosner had the good fortune to work with actress Brittany Bristow on a new project. “I love Brittany, she is so great,” he admitted. “She is a consummate professional and she is about to get married soon. We see eye to eye on so many things.”

On the greatest lesson that the acting profession has taught him, he responded, “to understand multiple perspectives when it comes to people.”

When asked what superpower he would have, he noted that it would be “teleportation.”

In his youth, he revealed that he was a “serious long-distance runner.” “As a kid, I would routinely win first place in long-distance races,” he said. “Although I didn’t like it so much, I kept doing it until I couldn’t stomach it. If I were to do any track and field event, I would do a triathlon.”

In the swimming world, he listed the “butterfly” as his favorite. “It’s the most visually interesting stroke because they get out of the water and you can actually see them,” he said. “It’s impressive to watch the butterfly races at the Olympics. “
