Breakout actress Madison Skye Validum chatted about starring in “Ivy and Bean” on Netflix, which premieres on September 2nd.

She stars as ‘Bean’ in Netflix’s film series, “Ivy and Bean.” Getting her first start in the industry modeling as a young child, Madison’s acting debut is the starring role in the highly anticipated family film series.

With natural instincts and an adorable personality to match, the nine-year-old will surely impress audiences as she plays the loud and fearless ‘Bean,’ in the series based off the much-loved book series by the same name.

“Ivy and Bean” tells the story of two unlikely friends, the loud and fearless Bean, and the thoughtful and quiet Ivy—who both discover that an adventure can reveal that even seemingly different people can become the best of friends. Madison got to work alongside industry veterans Jane Lynch, Nia Vardalos, Marci T. House (plays her mom_, Garfield Wilson (plays her dad), and more for her first experience on set.

What was it like to be a part of “Ivy and Bean”?

It was my first movie and I really enjoyed being around everyone and being on set. It was a great experience!

What did you love most about playing the title character?

I loved playing Bean because she was very adventurous and had to do many stunts. I am so blessed to have been given the opportunity to play her role.

What inspires you each day as an actress?

To be yourself and be natural.

What is your advice for young and aspiring actors?

My advice to young actors would be to be themselves and share their talents and never be afraid. And if you really want it, then go for it!

How does it feel to be an actress in the digital age? (now with streaming and technology being so prevalent)

It feels great and a dream come true that my talents can reach so many people on the streaming platform called “Netflix”.

Which actors would you like to someday work with as your dream acting partners?

I would like to work with Zendaya someday.

What does the word success mean to you?

The word success to me means, being in a good position.

What would you like to tell our readers about “Ivy and Bean” (What’s the one thing you want them to get out of it?)

To never judge a book by its cover. And get to know people for yourself, not just what you see on the outside.
