Lynn Anderson remembered by Grammy awards, featured ‘In Memoriam’

As Digital Journal reported, her death was one of country music’s biggest losses in 2015.

In 1971, Anderson won the Grammy award for “Best Female Country Vocal Performance” for her signature tune, “Rose Garden,” where she bested nominated songs by Dolly Parton, Tammy Wynette, Jean Shepard and Wanda Jackson.

On December 26, 2015, her classic hit “Rose Garden” turned 45, as Digital Journal reported.

In the music community, she has been honored by such artists as Tim McGraw and Martina McBride, both of which sang tributes in her honor, as well as fellow Grammy winner Jeannie Seely, Joe Nichols, Cole Swindell, Janie Fricke, Jimmy Fortune and Tony Orlando.
