Loud Luxury talks ‘Love No More’ single, Electric Zoo and Drake (Includes interview)

On performing at Electric Zoo, they said, “That was insane. We would watch the live stream every single year. Being able to play the main stage and to be on these grounds is absolutely insane.”

Regarding their new single “Love No More,” they said, “We are so excited about that. We have been watching the streams the entire day. It is so addicting.”

This past Sunday, their song “‘Body” was honored as the “Best Song of the Summer” during the Canadian MMVAs (Much Music Video Awards). “We literally grew up watching music, so to be able to a part of these awards, let alone win one, was a crazy feeling for us,” he said.

In the following year, they shared that they would like to take their music all over the world, and in the meantime, they have a fall tour lined up.

Digital transformation of electronic music

On the impact of technology on the electronic music scene, they said, “We love it because now you can get heard a lot easier. Today, we put out a song, and it is being streamed across the entire world. We can check our streams and know where we are at. It is a really special feeling.”

Regarding their use of technology in their daily routine as producers and DJs, they said, “We can literally produce songs on our laptops, and we can have our studio with us wherever we are. In the music creation process, being in control of that data and seeing how people interact with your songs on Spotify, tells you what works and what doesn’t work. It really helps you make better music.”

“We also use this crazy app, Apogee MiC, which is small in size, but the quality of it is incredible,” they said. “It is so small and portable. We are on the road all the time, so when we have to records things, this app is a lifesaver.”

Their dream collaboration choices in music include such diverse global music stars as Drake and Ed Sheeran. For aspiring DJs and producers, they encouraged them to “keep at it” since success is not an “overnight thing.” “You need to keep the ball rolling,” they said.

“Love No More” is available on iTunes and on Spotify.
