According to a statement posted on Loretta Lynn’s official Facebook page, the veteran songstress was admitted into a hospital in Nashville on the previous night after she had suffered a stroke at her home in Hurricane Mills in Tennessee.
The country music pioneer is currently under medical care, and she is responsive to treatment; moreover, the country queen is expected to make a full recovery.
Lynn, who is affectionately known to fans and the music industry as the “Coal Miner’s Daughter,” just celebrated her 85th birthday, and she has been advised by her doctors to stay off the road while she is on the road to recovery. As a result, her forthcoming scheduled concerts will be postponed.
Most recently, on April 21, Loretta Lynn performed a headlining concert at Tilles Center for Performing Arts in Brookville on Long Island. Digital Journal was there to review the show.
