Lampanelli is well-known for her roasts on Comedy Central and Friars Club. Her forthcoming comedy show will be performed in the full round of the theater. She is known for being an equal opportunity offender, and is a regular on Howard Stern’s Sirius satellite radio shows.
Earlier this year, as Digital Journal reported, Lampanelli was nominated for a Grammy award, and she performed at the Beacon Theatre in the heart of New York City.
Her Back to the Drawing Board television special from last year received a favorable review from Digital Journal.
Lampanelli is stoked to bring her first play, Stuffed, to the Women’s Project Theater in New York City this fall. The previews begin on Friday, September 23, and opening night is set for October 7. This limited engagement will run through November 6. It is a play about food, fat and fearlessness, written by Lampanelli, and the “Queen of Mean” is starring in it as well.
