Levi Hummon to release eponymous new country EP

Country Music Television (CMT) honored Hummon as one of its “Listen Up Artists” and he was subsequently featured in Rolling Stone as an “Artist You Need to Know”; moreover, The Huffington Post praised him as an “Artist to Watch.” Digital Journal noted that he deserves to become the “next big male country star of 2016.”

The songs on his new EP include “Life’s For Livin’,” “Chain Reaction,” “Love You Hate You Miss You,” “Guys and Glory,” as well as the liberating “Windows Down Days.”

Hummon co-wrote four out of the five songs on the album, which was produced by Jimmy Robbins. He credits his father, Grammy-winning songwriter Marcus Hummon as an early influence in his life. Marcus wrote Rascal Flatts’ “Bless the Broken Road,” as well as the Dixie Chicks’ “Cowboy Take Me Away.”

In 2014, Hummon collaborated with veteran songwriter and publisher Desmond Child, which led to to his song “Make It Love” being featured in Two: The Story of Roman & Nero. It was included on the short-list for the Academy Award for “Best Original Song.”

Aside from penning his own tunes, Hummon co-wrote Steven Tyler’s latest country single “Red, White and You.”

He has opened for such artists as Kelsea Ballerini at Gramercy Theatre in New York, as well as Sam Hunt, Alabama, Dwight Yoakam, David Nail, Maddie & Tae, Dan + Shay, A Thousand Horses and Cam.
