Leonardo DiCaprio wins big at BAFTA awards, named ‘Best Actor’

Over the last month, DiCaprio took home the Golden Globe and the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) award for his leading role in the critically-acclaimed motion picture, The Revenant.

His BAFTA acceptance speech was well-crafted, and it may be seen below on the BAFTA YouTube channel, where towards the end, the Oscar-nominated actor thanked his mother and subsequently wished her a “happy birthday.”

At this year’s BAFTA ceremony, in honor of “Valentine’s Day,” DiCaprio was afforded the privilege to kiss Dame Maggie Smith, as part of their kiss camera.

DiCaprio was also reunited with his good friend, fellow actress Kate Winslet, who took home the BAFTA award for “Best Supporting Actress” for her role in Steve Jobs.
