Lee Ann Womack up for 2015 CMA ‘Female Vocalist of the Year’

Throughout her respected career in country music, Womack has won six Country Music Association (CMA) awards, one of which was for “Female Vocalist of the Year” in 2001.

This was due to the critical acclaim of her The Way I’m Livin’ studio album.

Aside from recognition from the Country Music Association, Womack’s album was also nominated for a 2015 Grammy award for “Best Country Album.”

This past April, Womack sang new songs from her CD at City Winery in New York City.
