Similar to last year’s New Year’s Eve celebration, Ortega will resume his role as “Ryan Seacrest” in Westchester County. “I will emcee for about 25,000 people,” he said. “We are providing DJ services with the Larger Than Life company. It will be a combination of the cast of the boy band show and the girl band show coming together to do the classics, and a bunch of Top 40 hits.”
Ortega continued, “New Year’s will be more of Top 40 songs, and radio material, and ‘Sweet Caroline.’ You gotta give the people what they request.”
They will be touring in Baltimore, Las Vegas, California, Ohio and Miami. “That’s going to be fun,” he admitted. “We are premiering the new show ‘Platinum Pop 2K,’ which features the girls and the guys coming together to do a whole show. There are a lot of exciting new things coming up.”
Being able to share the stage with Lance Bass of N SYNC last month was an awesome experience for Ortega and his boy band. “Working with Lance Bass was great! He was the second N SYNC guy we’ve done a show with. That was great! We were all a little bit starstruck on that.”
When asked what he is most thankful for this Thanksgiving, he said, “To spend more time with the baby. She is two years and three months. She is getting bigger. She is really talking and singing, so that’s fun.”
