“Lady of the Manor,” by filmmakers and brothers Justin and Christian Long, is a superb comedy film that was released via Lionsgate. Digital Journal has the scoop.
The synopsis is as follows: Past and present collide in this supernaturally funny buddy comedy when stoner-slacker Hannah (Melanie Lynskey) is hired to portray Lady Wadsworth (Judy Greer), a Southern belle who died in 1875, in a tour at the historic estate of Wadsworth Manor.
Hannah, who is a hot mess, figures that she can fake it until the ghost of Lady Wadsworth appears! Lady Wadsworth tells Hannah it’s time to change her wild ways or she will haunt her until she does.

Melanie Lynskey and Judy Greer are absolutely hysterical and they will keep the audience thoroughly entertained. Lynskey, in particular, is quite quirky and irresistible.
Justin Long is a triumph as Max, while Ryan Phillippe is sensational in the role of Tanner Wadsworth, and he steals every scene he is in. Phillippe is a revelation in the film.
Emmy-nominated actress Bianca D’Ambrosio (“The Bay”) also makes a neat cameo as Becky.
Without giving too much away, it is a comedy that should be experienced by all over the age of 18. It will certainly help provide an escape during the trying times that the world is going through.
“Lady Of The Manor” will be in select theaters, On Demand, and digital on September 17.
